Great Running Trails in Georgia – Tribble Mill Park
If you are looking for a park in Gwinnett County, then this is a great park to visit!
I visited Tribble Mill Park in October 2011, for a 10K (6.2 miles) trail run that was put on by Dirty Spokes Productions. Dirty Spokes Productions is the very same company that I ran my first trail run with at the and fell head over heels in love with the sport.
Tribble Mill Park is a 700 acre park that is located in Lawrenceville. There is plenty of free parking and lots of things to do for the whole family. Tribble Mill contains a paved loop trail that goes around Ozora Lake. On Ozora Lake there is a boat dock available to launch non-motorized boats out onto the lake. There is also approximately 12 miles of unpaved trails that go all through the woods and connect with the paved path in several areas. These off road trails are excellent for trail running or mountain biking. Singletracks.com labeled these trails as intermediate for mountain biking. They are not too hard but not too easy. There is plenty of room for some family exploring out here for sure!
When you are winding down from exploring the trails and all other things this park as to offer, there are grills, picnic tables and pavilions available to re-fuel yourselves. There is a great little playground for the little people to play on for hours of entertainment. There is also a great meadow for horseback riding, football or Frisbee. There is no doubt about it, if you are an “outdoorsy” person, you will greatly enjoy this park and all of its amenities.

My personal experience here was purely magical! This particular trail race is the race that lead to my decision to run a half marathon (13.1 miles) on trails the following February. It just goes to show that if you don’t get out there and try something new, you may never know what you are capable of. Heck, you may even fall in love with it!
Get out there and try something new that will better yourself in the long run and have fun with it!
