Brookwood Boys End Season With Big Loss
This was the second time this year that the Broncos lost to the Centennial Knights.
The Brookwood boys basketball team lost to the Centennial Knights for the second time this year -- once at the dawn of a new year, and now at the close of a season.
On Saturday, the Centennial boys trounced Brookwood in the first-round of the state basketball tournament, 82-60.
The Knights outscored the Broncos in every quarter, opening up a 18-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. By halftime, the Broncos had a 16-point defecit, with 24 points to the Knights' 40.

As Brookwood's starters began to get into foul trouble in the third quarter the Knight's extended their lead to 20 points, going ahead 57- 37 by the end of the period. Brookwood's scoring picked up in the fourth period, but the Broncos could not recover.
Brookwood's Terrence Higginbothom led with 14 points in the game. Jerome Cole had 11 points, according to scores on ga.prepcountry.com.

The loss closes the Broncos' season at 10-18. Centennial will visit the Norcross Blue Devils on March 2 for their second-round game.
