Clay Hunter Recognized as Outstanding Principal
The Georgia Parent-Teacher Association has recognized the Snellville principal for excellence in leadership.
The Georgia PTA recently highlighted the efforts of local leaders, students and educators, including principal Clay Hunter.
Hunter, who has been with the district for 10 years, was recognized by the organization as its "Outstanding Principal" for 2011. He came to South Gwinnett High School in October 2008.
He, like the other award winners, were nominated by their local PTA and then selected by representatives in their parent-teacher association district.

Hunter served as a teacher at Milton High School in Alpharetta for five years (1995-2000) and also was a past research assistant for the Soweto project in South Africa through the University of Georgia.
