...Family Fun Day Fundraiser for Autism
New Organization Forming for Autistic Children and Their Needs
All in For Autism (AFA), a new charitable organization currently in the process of official formation - will host their first annual fundraising event this Sunday. The charity is currently trying to raise $12,000 for 12 I-Pads, a project currently underway. Long term goals for the organization include continuous fundraising projects for children with Autism, creating awareness about the specific needs of children with Autism, and educating the public on what they can do to help.
On June 26th, AFA will transform Wild Bill's parking lot into a play-land for kids of all ages, while Wild Bill's does what they do best inside by hosting a musician's showcase. The event runs all day long from 10:00am to 5:00pm with kids 12 and under admitted for free; teens and adults admission is $5 per person.
The Kids Festival will take place outdoors in the main parking lot located in front of the well-known venue, Wild Bill's, located at 2075 Market Street, in Duluth (near Gwinnett Place Mall). It will include Moonwalks, pony rides, face painting, kids games, lots of raffles and prizes, as well as a misting tent for a hot summer day. Favorite festival foods such as pizza, pop corn, Italian ice and cotton candy will be available for purchase also.
A Musician's Showcase will be jamming on the main stage inside Wild Bill's. Eight or more local acts will be performing for the charity event and have been pre-selling show tickets to raise funds for the charity. The artists will be competing against each other for a chance to open for a National Act, so the game is on for AFA! To date, artists performing include, Jared Breshers, Jessica Cayne, Catherine Kimbro, RowdyB, Castrophe, Young America and FledNorth. It should be a genre filled day of great variety.
The event would not be possible without the help of several businesses stepping up to the challenge to assist the new organization. Presenting sponsors of the event include Wild Bill's, Zaxby's, Tom M. Wages Funeral Service, Gwinnett Citizen, WIMO AM 1300, Let's Communicate Inc, WebKat Design, and Blitz Communications/Marketing.
AFA's Family Fun Day should offer entertainment for all ages, and everyone in the family is invited and encouraged to come on out to Wild Bill's for a rockin-good time!
