Former Brookwood Football Player Shot in Arm
He told authorities that the shooting occurred during an armed robbery, but police say the robbery didn't happen.

Authorities say that aΒ former Brookwood High football player's claims that he was shot in the arm during an armed robberyΒ Monday (Nov. 4)Β are untrue.Β
According to WSB-TV,Β Richland County South Carolina Sheriff's officials said thatΒ University of South Carolina player Kenny Miles was notΒ being robbed when he was shot in the arm.
The initial report says Miles' gunshot wound was life-threatening, butΒ Sheriff Leon Lott told the news station that the injury was only a flesh wound.Β
It's unclear as to what exactly happened during the shooting.Β Lott also saidΒ Tuesday (Nov. 5)Β that authoritiesΒ are continuing to investigate the matter. No arrests have been made in the incident.Β
