Former Bulldog Launches Family Foundation
Shiloh High alum David Pollack's foundation will work to fight childhood obesity.

SNELLVIlLLE, GA -- Former UGA and NFL football star David Pollack, a graduate of Shiloh High School in Snellville, launched a family foundation geared toward fighting childhood obesity on Wednesday.
The Pollack Family Foundation will partner with Childrenβs Healthcare of Atlanta and C.H.O.I.C.E.S., a Georgia-based nonprofit also geared toward helping children make healthy life choices, Pollack and his wife, Lindsey, announced Wednesday.
Childrenβs Healthcareβs Strong4Life program has a similar focus.

βLindsey and I are very passionate about this cause and we know through our partners, Strong4Life and C.H.O.I.C.E.S. that we will be able to make a lasting difference,β Pollack, now a college-football analyst for ESPN, said in a news release.
According to the news release, the Pollack foundation will be built on three pillars -- βWhole,β βLifeβ and βHealth.β

βPartnering with the Pollack Family Foundation will help Childrenβs continue its important work to impact Georgia families through our Strong4Life programming, including training physicians, school cafeteria managers and arming parents with the daily facts, tips and resources they need to sustain healthy habits at home,β Childrenβs Healthcare of Atlanta CEO Linda Matzigkeit said in the release.
