Funeral Services Announced for Mauna G. Marney

Mauna G. Marney, age 70, of Snellville, Georgia, formerly of Las Vegas, Nevada entered into rest on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her home.  She is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Kimberly & Edward Drzymala; son, William Young all of Grayson, GA; daughter, Erica Williams of Las Vegas, NV; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Shannon, Kristen, Bill, Jason, Randall, Christopher, Danny, Joshua, Becky, Christie, Alex, and Aislin; nine great grandchildren, Stephen, Hannah, Ethan, Mason, Jaden, Riley, R.J., Elizabeth, and Destiny; three sisters, Myrna Covic of West Palm Beach, FL, Lorena Barker of Whitesville, WVA and Joyce Carol Gillis of Fremont, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Mauna Marney was born in Hamlin, West Virginia to Ersie Jane Baker Elkins and Boyce Cline Elkins.  She attended Sherman High School and worked for years in various Casinos.  She enjoyed history and politics.  Mauna adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and relished time that she got to spend with them.

She will be greatly missed by them and her many friends.

A Visitation Celebrating the Life of Mauna Marney will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel.  Mrs. Marney’s cremated remains will be buried next to her husband, Daniel Cardillo, at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, July 10, 2012.  Those desiring may make donations to the Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta (GRRA), P.O. Box 7743, Atlanta, GA 30357 in memory of Mauna G. Marney.
