Know Before You Go: Restaurant Health Inspections

Results of recent Gwinnett County restaurant inspections in Snellville by East Metro Public Health with a synopsis of deficiencies found by the inspector. These are reports over the past week.

August 4

Previous Scores: 93/A (May 2, 2011), 87/B (August 5, 2010)
Deficiencies observed: Inspectors noted one of the sinks was not properly designed to code.

August 8

Score: 91/A
Previous Scores: 94/A (Jan. 20, 2011), 98/A (July 9, 2010)
Deficiencies observed: Food packages not in good condition, as there were three dented cans of green beans. The cans were removed from inventory.

Score: 92/A
Previous Scores: 92/A (April 15, 2011), 82/B (Nov. 16, 2010)
Deficiencies observed: Bulk products removed from original packages, and they were not labeled with the common name of the food. (A spray bottle of oil, container of salt and pepper, and container of sugar were found to not have proper label.) In addition, in-use wet wiping cloths not stored at proper sanitizing level, and a fixture in the bucket/hose area had a leak.
