Mobile Home Victim, Murderer Identified: Gwinnett Police

A man was shot and killed Wednesday night at the Smokecreek Mobile Home Park, located at 4255 Smoke Creek Pkwy, in Snellville​, police say.

SNELLVILLE, GA — Update

Gwinnett County Police have charged Robert Jennings, 31, a resident of the Smokecreek Mobile Home Park with aggravated assault and felony murder. He turned himself in at police headquarters this morning.

The murder victim in this case is Ezekial Smith, 18, who was also a resident of the Smokecreek Mobile Home Park.

Detectives believe there are additional witnesses who have not come forward. Anyone with information to share in this case should contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300. A man was shot and killed Wednesday night at the Smokecreek Mobile Home Park, located at 4255 Smoke Creek Pkwy, in Snellville, according to police. The identity of the person killed has not yet been released. The Gwinnett County Police Department needs the public's help for more information.

Gwinnett Police responded to the mobile home park after a call came in at 8:26 p.m. about a shooting. When officers arrived they learned that the victim had already been transported by an individual to a local hospital and the shooter had fled the scene. The victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Two men got into a fight near the basketball court area and one of them produced a handgun and shot the other man. Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses in the area to determine what led to this shooting. The Crime Scene Unit is processing the scene for any evidence.
