Shiloh Graduate Launches American Pride Clothing Line
Snellville native David Yarbrough hopes 'Merica Clothing inspires others to create Made in the USA brands.
David Yarbrough graduated from high school just three years ago. Â Now, he is well on his way to launching a successful clothing line called 'Merica Clothing. Â
In a little over a month, he has raised over $3,000 through a Kickstarter fundraising page. Â
His designs exemplify a pride in the United States; his slogan, "Pride Yourself," speaks volumes. Â Each design has a symbolic American flag accompanied by the slogan. Â

He is branching out into city-specific shirts as well. Â His first is for Snellville, with the city's slogan on a peach. Â A design for Athens is in the works. Â
Snellville Patch spoke with Yarbrough last week about what inspires him and where he hopes to take his company. Â

Snellville Patch: Â Tell us a little about yourself.
Yarbrough:Â I'm 21. I was born and raised in Snellville and graduated from Shiloh High in 2009. I currently attend Kennesaw State studying graphic design.Â
Snellville Patch: Â What inspired you to start 'Merica Clothing?
Yarbrough: Â Over the past four years I've had the privilege of taking roadtrips across the country with my six siblings. I've see 46 states so far. Seeing the beauty of the entire country has instilled American pride in my blood. These road trips have been my main inspiration.
I feel like this country is lacking a strong industry of American made clothing and other products. I would like to start a movement to encourage the growth of the industry.Â
Snellville Patch: Â What are you doing to promote it?
Yarbrough:  I've been using social media to promote the up-and-coming brand. So far, my brother Daniel and I have funded everything. We've recently reached our funding goal on Kickstarter.com. I have a huge appreciation to anyone that supported 'Merica Clothing through our KickStarter. It will be a enormous help.
Snellville Patch: Â Tell us about your promotional material.
Yarbrough: Â Any of the promotional graphics you see on Facebook or Twitter are all done by me. All the pictures I've used are from our road trips. I don't have any models. I've self-modeled the line so far.
Snellville Patch: Â Â What has been the reaction of your friends and family?
Yarbrough: Â My family and friends are all excited to see where this will take me. I've gotten nothing but support and positive remarks. Â
