Offices, Services Closed for City, County Thanksgiving Weekend
Check when government offices will be closed and if your trash schedule is affected by the holiday.
As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, some city and county offices and services will be closed for certain days
Government offices for the city of Snellville and Gwinnett County will be closed Thursday (Nov. 28) and Friday (Nov. 29) and will reopen Monday (Dec. 2), according to the city newsletter and a news release from the county. For Snellville, the recycling center will be closed Saturday, Nov. 30.
No trash or recycling will be picked up Thursday for both the county and city. City residents whose trash day is normally Thursday instead will have their trash and recycling picked up Friday. Usual pickup will continue Friday, too.
The county's schedule differs slightly. Collection scheduled on Thanksgiving Day will be rescheduled for Friday, and Friday collection will be rescheduled for Saturday.
