South Gwinnett sophomore Josh Boyd perhaps gave a glimpse of what the future has in store for Comets football.

The running back gained 185 yards and scored two touchdown on just 16 carries (11.6 yards per carry) in last week's 49-17 win over Berkmar.

Other top performers last week:

Amar Salihic, kicker: The junior made all seven extra points.

Austin Clark, offensive lineman: The senior graded 92 percent on his blocking assignments, had three "pancake" blocks, and one touchdown block.

Daniel Ziegler, offensive lineman: The junior graded 91 percent on his blocking assignments.

Tyler Claytor, lineman: Had five tackles and two tackles for losses as a defensive lineman, and had three "pancake" blocks as an offensive lineman.
