Brookwood tight end Michael Gouge turned in one of the more memorable plays in a memorable football game.

In last week's heartbreaking 14-7 loss at Grayson, the senior tight end put the Broncos on the cusp of an upset with his third-quarter touchdown reception.

On the 21-yard play, Gouge grabbed Zach Moon's pass, ran through a Grayson defender at around the 10, then over another one near the goal line to tie the game at 7-7.

According to coaches, Gouge also graded at 90 percent on his blocking assignments.

Other top performances:

B.J. Sammon, wide receiver: The senior had five receptions for 58 yards.

Conner Hennessey, linebacker: The senion had four tackles seven assists, two tackles for losses, one pass breakup.

Ramirez Galbreath, defensive end: The senior had eight tackles, five assists, two sacks and one tackle for loss.

Blake Cunningham, offensive line: The senior had an 89-percent blocking grade.

Eric Mapoles, linebacker: The senior had five tackles, eight assists, two half-sacks.

Zach Jackson, free safety: The senior had six tackles and three assists.
