Shooting Victim Survived 'Concentration Camp' In Bosnia: Family
Donations are pouring in for the family of a Bosnian War refugee who was shot and killed at a Walmart. The accused shooter is in custody.

SNELLVILLE, GA — Snellville police have filed murder charges against Troy Hunte, the accused in a deadly Walmart parking lot shooting on Sunday. The victim, a Bosnian refugee, survived a concentration camp during the Bosnian War, his family says, and "was a selfless character with one of the purest hearts."
Police believe Fadil Delkic was driving down a parking lot lane at the Walmart at 1550 Scenic Highway Sunday around 5:30 p.m. when he apparently came too close to Hunte, 28, and his fiancé and a baby in a stroller, reports say. Hunte's fiance allegedly slapped Delkic in the face.
Then, Hunte pulled a handgun out of his pocket and shot Delkic in the chest, police say. Delkic was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center and later pronounced dead.

Snellville Assistant Chief of Police Perry responded to "banter" on social media about how things should be investigated. Commenters apparently had many questions about Hunte's wife being charge.
Perry responded saying police focus on higher offenses rather than misdemeanors, unless the latter is necessary to bring higher charges. "This is not an issue with this case," Perry said. "Think we have earned a little bit of trust, so please trust us to do our jobs and get things in place before acting."
Delkic, 49, survived prison in the brutal Bosnian War during the 1990s. Family members say he is a refugee who survived a concentration camp in his 20s.
"Fadil survived a concentration camp during the Bosnian War, exceeded as a refugee in several different countries, and fought hard to give his family the life they have," his niece said on the GoFundMe page.
Hunte is facing charges of voluntary manslaughter felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.
