Snellville Police Chief: Public Safety Night a 'Tremendous Success'
Around 500 people turned out for the Tuesday event.

SNELLVILLE – Police Chief Roy Whitehead said about 500 people attended Tuesday night’s Public Safety Night, making it one of the most successful community outreach events the police department has had.
“The men and women of the Snellville Police Department were honored and humbled by the turnout of citizens, businesses and sister agencies supporting our Public Safety Night,” Whitehead said. “The event was a tremendous success and we expect it to grow and improve every year. This night provides a great opportunity for communication and interaction with the citizens we serve.”
This annual event offered an opportunity for residents to meet and ask questions of local police officers, get safety tips and information from various emergency service agencies and vendors and to get a look at first responder equipment.
