Take Emergency Response Training Through Gwinnett County

Classes begin in late January.

Gwinnett County residents can getΒ Community Emergency Response TeamΒ training from county officials, beginningΒ this month.

According to the Gwinnett County Connection newsletter, participants will learn basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

Classes begin Jan. 28, and will take place on Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., for eight sessions.Β 

The session will conclude with a course review and disaster simulation onΒ Saturday, March 15, from 8Β a.m. to noon.

The course is open to all Gwinnett residents 18 and older who pass a background check by the Gwinnett Police Department.
