Teen Killed In Snellville Party Shooting

About 30-40 people were at the party when a dispute led to multiple shots being fired.

SNELLVILLE, GA -- A teenager was shot and killed early Saturday at a house party in Snellville, police say.

About 30-40 people were attending the party, on the 2900 block of Aviation Circle, at about 12:3 a.m. when a dispute led to multiple shots being fired, according to Gwinnett County Police.

After the shots, a male teen was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

The suspect in the shooting and others fled the scene, police say.

Homicide detectives were at the scene Saturday morning, but said there was no definitive description of the suspect. They are urging parents whose children were at the party to come forward with any information they may have.

The identity of the victim is being withheld until family members have been notified.

"The loss of life for such a young person is always a tragedy," said Gwinnett Police Cpl. Deon Washington. "Our primary objective at this point is to conduct a thorough investigation and paint a clear picture for exactly what led to this homicide."
