The Photographer's Life

At 71 years of age I find that I have seen a lot of photography through the years. Been a relative success in the lab business and as a photographer and still can't wait to edit my shoot! Getting out of the military in 1966 left me with a useless education for what I wished out of life. I had spent 4 years rebuilding targets that aircraft had shot all to pieces as part of the pilot's training prior to Viet Nam, as I served down in the swamps of central Florida. The good thing that I kept was a love for all the birds and animals seen in those swamps. To this day it is a thrill for me to sneak up on a big old Heron as he fishes in some remote little pond way out in the "boonies" just to make his picture... Gators, turtles, fish and such!

Today I am one of those bored retirees who manages to find an interesting place to travel to, and do my photography so that I may sell pictures. I have a young partner in another business which is a photo lab, catering to folks who want  good quality prints for a fair price. We call it Atlanta Canvas and Print. His name is Nick Daniels and his phone number is 404.630.2321. Call him and see if our print quality, customer service and prices might stir your interest in a large Canvas Gallery Wrap for instance. We are very competitively priced.

This fall I am considering whether anyone may be interested in a trip of 10 days or so to travel out west and photograph the wildlife and scenery around Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This is the home of the Grand Teton National Park and is only 60 miles south of the Yellowstone NP. My plan is to go there in September, roughly the third week of the month. If you have an interest in such a trip I have been there twice and can help you to see the wildlife, and scenery as a photographer envisions it. I am a good teacher who will help you to see the picture and then capture it! Bear, buffalo or bison, antelope, moose, and many other animals frequent this region in great numbers. My son-in-law's father is one of the rangers who work there and I have learned a lot from him about wolves, hiking, and the sights available. It is a great place to spend a fulfilling time. Then it is only 60 miles north to Yellowstone and there are more of the same kind of things to do but with more challenging scenery. You pass the Oxbow Bend on the Snake river as you travel out of Jackson headed to the Yellowstone!  So much fun...
