Flat-Screen TVs Stolen From Cerebral Palsy Patients

Employees of a health care organization reported earlier this month that televisions were taken from its patients' bedrooms in Snellville.

According to Gwinnett County and Snellville police reports, two workers from United Cerebral Palsy, an organization that takes care of patients with advance cases of the disease, told police that the televisions were taken March 1 from two Snellville homes managed by the non-profit. The facilities are located off Ashley Forest Drive near Highpoint Road and Sussex Court near Main Street.

The manager of the Ashley Forest location said she arrived at the home at 1 p.m. to find that the culprit stole two flat-screen plasma TVs from patients' bedrooms. There was a smaller television in another bedroom and a larger one in the common room that were not taken, according to the report.

In the Sussex incident, the employee arrived at that home at the same time and noticed a 50-inch TV gone.

The manager told police that no residents or employees were in the buildings since 11:01 a.m. Because police observed no forced entry, the manager believes that the possible suspects used the door's access code to gain entry to the homes.
