Police said the homicides occurred around 6:30pm in the 1100 block of Bridle Path Drive in the Huntington Falls subdivision near Scenic Highway and Sugarloaf Parkway.
The children were all found in the finished basement of the home. According to Cpl. Smith, the injured boy was taken by helicopter to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. There was no word of his condition late Wednesday.
The man was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. It was not yet clear if the man was the children's father or stepfather.
Smith said Wednesday that it was not yet clear if the victims were shot or stabbed.
The mother of the three boys was not home at the time of the homicides. Smith said she has been accounted for and was unharmed. Smith also said the family who lives upstairs in the home were not on the property at the time.
Wednesday night Smith said they were searching for a suspect or suspects and a motive.
