Snellville Police said in a Facebook post that a vehicle made an illegal U-turn in front of another car headed east on Athens Highway, forcing that car to swerve into a lane occupied by the Gwinnett patrol car.

The injuries of the people whose car struck the patrol car were not believed to be serious, the post said.
