Video: Snellville Police Officer Hovers, Stays Upright
Officer Neil Bullock was at a RaceTrac convenience store when he got a chance to try out a hoverboard.
SNELLVILLE, GA- It’s not quite ready for a high-speed chase ... or even a low-speed one, for that matter.
But in a video shared on Facebook by the Snellville Police Department on Thursday, an officer tries out a new means of transport -- a hoverboard -- during a stop at a local convenience store.
In the video, which had been viewed more than 5,000 times by mid-morning Thursday, Patrolman Neil Bullock flails awkwardly for a few moments before seemingly getting the hang of the board, straightening out and even flavoring his coasting with what we’ll call his Swim and Rowboat techniques.

“The swim and row technique is one that will be taught to officers around the country,” the department joked in the Facebook post.
Bullock’s efforts got high marks from bystanders, including a man who says in the video that he sells the two-wheeled powerboard scooters.

“Beautiful! Look at this guy. He’s a pro! ... . He just thought he was going to fall a second ago,” the man is recorded saying. “It took him two minutes.”
According to the police department, the video was shot at the RaceTrac at 2211 Scenic Highway in Snellville at about 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
A spokesman said the man who provided the hoverboard works in a nearby shop and frequently does public demonstrations with them in the area.
