Viewfinder: Snellville Shows Off at County Swim Championships
The 2011 Gwinnett County Swim League Championships were held at Georgia Tech July 16-17. Snellville was well represented with six different neighborhood teams.
Gwinnett County Swim League Championships were held July 16-17 at the Georgia Tech Aquatics Center. Approximately 2,232 swimmers entered the events.
The championships featured several highlights, as two records were beat. Previous records in the 100 Individual Medly and the 50 Freesyle were held by Olympian and Brookwood High School Graduate Amanda Weir. Both of these records were beat by 17-year-old Duluth resident Taylor Schick.
