• Brad Thompson, Effingham Softball Celebrate 500th Career Win (wtoc.com) — Springfield fans just watched Effingham County softball coach Brad Thompson notch his 500th career win, a milestone the community celebrated before a rivalry game against South Effingham. The longtime coach, now in his fifth year with the Rebels, credited his players, staff, and former Vidalia mentor Greg James, who traveled in to honor him despite the Rebels' loss that night.
