• Gwinnett Police asking for public's help finding missing teenager (11alive.com) — Gwinnett police are searching for 16‑year‑old Adah George, who told someone she was going to Stone Mountain with a friend before disappearing. Her phone last pinged in the Stonecrest area, and officers say health concerns make finding her urgent, asking anyone with information to contact detectives immediately.
   

• Obituary and funeral service: JoAn H. McWaters, 86, of Monroe (monroelocal.org) — Stone Mountain readers may recognize sisters Sandra McConnell and Joyce Berger, who are mentioned among the surviving family of longtime Monroe resident JoAn H. McWaters, 86. Her memorial service is today in Loganville, and the family invites friends to pay respects and consider donations to Rock Chapel Cemetery Association or the Humane Society of Walton County in her memory.
