• The Taste of BBQ Festival moves from Suwanee to Sugar Hill, happening Saturday, Oct. 3rd (atlantaonthecheap.com) — Sugar Hill residents can head to The Plaza downtown on Saturday, Oct. 3, for the free Taste of BBQ Festival, running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Expect live music, BBQ tastings sold by $1 tickets, vegetarian options, vendors, and a Family Fun Zone, all right in the heart of Sugar Hill.
   

• Georgia preschool students become 'junior journalists' for World News Day (gpb.org) — Young students at the Goddard School of Sugar Hill spent World News Day pretending to be journalists, interviewing teachers, parents, and media guests. The hands-on newsroom activity encouraged kids' natural curiosity and helped them practice asking questions, learning how news works, and sharing what matters most to them in their Sugar Hill classroom community.
