• Man gets life for fatal Suwanee gun-sale robbery (fox5atlanta.com) — A Gwinnett County jury has sentenced a Lawrenceville man to life plus 20 years for killing a teen during a gun-sale robbery arranged at a Suwanee apartment complex. Prosecutors say the victim, previously described by Suwanee police as 16, was lured through social media, then shot and robbed, with two other suspects already convicted or awaiting trial.
   

• 'You're under arrest. Your dog's dead': Officer confronts dog owner (wsbtv.com) — Two recent animal-cruelty cases in Gwinnett County, including one handled by Suwanee police, ended with dog owners jailed after their pets died while tethered outdoors in extreme heat. Suwanee Police Capt. Robert Thompson reminds local residents that county rules require constant supervision, proper shelter, and water whenever dogs are tied outside.
