• Deadly crash involving trooper happened during chase of stunt driving suspects, GSP says; administrative review underway (11alive.com) — A deadly crash at Mountain Industrial Boulevard and Hugh Howell Road in Tucker killed a 19-year-old passenger after a Georgia State Patrol trooper's vehicle collided with a pickup linked to illegal stunt driving. State investigators are now reconstructing the crash and reviewing trooper actions and chase policies, while the trooper has been placed on administrative leave during the probe.
• Anonymous $150k donation secures reopening of Tucker's American Legion Post 207 (roughdraftatlanta.com) — An anonymous Tucker veteran's $150,000 donation has finally closed the funding gap to rebuild American Legion Post 207, which burned down in 2019 and has left local veterans without a gathering space. Organizers now expect to reopen by Veterans Day, restoring a hub for support programs, youth partnerships, and community events that serve Tucker-area service members and their families.
• Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Tucker (maxpreps.com) — Tucker High's Tigers have started the season 3-0 after edging Stephenson 21–14 in a hard-fought matchup, highlighted by a 153-yard receiving night from Jerron Guiden. With momentum building from three straight wins, the team now looks ahead to its next test against Central Gwinnett on September 18.
