Suspect accused of committing four violent crimes in Tucker (decaturish.com) — Police say a man now jailed for a July 2026 fatal stabbing on Evelyn Street in Tucker is also linked by DNA to three earlier violent assaults in Tucker dating back to 2014. Investigators used advanced genetic genealogy to connect the cases and are asking Tucker residents to share any information about similar unsolved crimes that might be related.
2. County officials break ground on new fire station (thechampionnewspaper.com) — A new $10.5 million Fire Station No. 5 is being built on Cowan Road in Tucker, replacing the aging 1955 facility on Lawrenceville Highway. County and Tucker leaders say the modern station will improve firefighter safety and community service, with upgraded health protections, individual sleeping quarters, and a multipurpose room available for neighborhood use.
3. 19-year-old dies in crash with GSP car during chase (decaturish.com) — A 19-year-old passenger died after a Georgia State Patrol cruiser collided with a pickup truck at Mountain Industrial Boulevard and Hugh Howell Road during a chase tied to illegal stunt driving near Kilman Drive and Bibb Boulevard in Tucker. The trooper survived, is on administrative leave, and the agency is reviewing whether its pursuit policies were properly followed.
4. USPOULTRY and Foundation Approve Four New Board Research Initiative Topics (morningagclips.com) — USPOULTRY, headquartered in Tucker, has announced four new research topics aimed at tackling key challenges in the poultry and egg industry, from bird health to PFAS in water supplies. While the work is national in scope, it highlights a major industry association based right in Tucker that funds science-driven improvements affecting producers and processors across the country.
