• Kids Day in the Park: Free family fun in Tucker on Saturday, Sept. 19th (atlantaonthecheap.com) — Families in Tucker can enjoy a free Kids Day in the Park on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Church Street Green on Church Street. Kids can play field games, make crafts, enter a bike giveaway, and grab food from on-site trucks, all without an admission fee.
   

• Tucker council set to vote on banning pop-up pet sales (decaturish.com) — Tucker residents may soon see pop-up pet sales banned in the city, as the City Council votes on an enforcement ordinance at its Sept. 14 meeting. The agenda also includes park lighting upgrades, stormwater repairs, a Henderson Park master plan, blight findings on Hugh Howell Road, a Trees Atlanta partnership, and repaving the St. Andrews Church lot used by rec center visitors.
   

• DeKalb Schools finishes first round of redistricting talks (decaturish.com) — DeKalb Schools' redistricting effort now targets overcrowding in several clusters, including Tucker, ahead of new schools opening between 2027 and 2029. Parents can weigh in on multiple scenarios during round-two meetings, including a Sept. 22 public comment session at Tucker High School, helping shape future attendance zones and school capacity decisions that could affect local families' daily routines.
