• Sky Whatley Faces Legal Threat Over Stage Slap (eurweb.com) — A local concertgoer says she was struck in the face by Southern Soul singer Sky Whatley during a Sept. 6 performance at Londzell Performing Arts Theatre in Tucker, and she's now preparing legal action. Video appears to show the onstage slap, and her attorney says they've filed a police report and will seek compensation for medical and related expenses.
   

• Billie Jo 'B.J.' Hampton (starnewsgaonline.com) — An obituary honors Billie Jo "B.J." Hampton, who was born in Tucker in 1957 and later became a beloved community leader in Douglasville. Family and friends can pay their respects Monday, Sept. 21, at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with services that afternoon and burial at West Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
