• Metro Atlanta city council sets limits on pet sales (wsbtv.com) — Tucker's City Council has approved a new ordinance banning the sale of dogs, cats, and domestic rabbits in public spaces like parking lots, roadsides, and parks, giving local code enforcement clear power to issue citations and fines. City leaders and animal advocates say the change should curb impulse pet purchases, reduce intake at crowded DeKalb shelters, and encourage more adoptions of animals already waiting for homes.
• Volleyball Recap: Chamblee's Offense Sparked by Yana Barga (maxpreps.com) — Tucker High's volleyball team saw its six-game home winning streak snapped in a 2–0 loss to Chamblee, dropping the Tigers to an 18–14 record. Despite a strong second set, Tucker couldn't overcome Chamblee's serving and attack, then quickly returned to action with another 2–0 defeat against Jonesboro on September 17.
• Woman Says Sky Whatley Stage Slap Left Her With Two Black Eyes, Plans Lawsuit (complex.com) — A woman says she was struck by Southern soul singer Sky Whatley during a performance at the Legendary Awards Show at Londzell Performing Arts Theatre in Tucker, leaving her with two black eyes and prompting a police report and planned lawsuit. The incident, captured on video and widely shared online, has sparked an investigation while she urges supporters not to respond with harassment or hate.
