• Singer Charged After Allegedly Slapping a Woman From the Stage, Then Continuing to Perform As if Nothing Happened (vice.com) — A local concertgoer says she was left with two black eyes after singer David "Sky" Whatley Jr. allegedly slapped her during a September 6 awards show at Tucker's Londzell Performing Arts Theatre. DeKalb County police issued a battery warrant weeks later, and the victim and her attorneys are publicly criticizing how slowly authorities have moved on the case.
• AP/AJC: Hall Co. 15th most popular destination in state for migrants (wgtjradio.com) — New federal data show that Tucker's 30084 ZIP code was listed by 1,964 migrants as their intended destination between 2018 and 2025, placing it among Georgia's more popular arrival areas. Gainesville ranked 15th statewide, but Gwinnett and DeKalb communities, including Tucker, drew some of the highest numbers of new arrivals overall.
