In observance of the Feast of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and ecology, Virginia-Highland Church will host its annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 5, at 4 p.m. We will gather on the front steps of the church for a brief service followed by individual blessings for your pets. There will be Prosecco and treats for the humans and “I’ve been blessed” kerchiefs for the animals.
