Book Launch and Recipe Demo

Oak Grove resident Joan Kaplan is celebrating ten years as a residential real estate agent with a new philanthropic purpose—establishing The Kaplan Family Foundation and completing a recipe book to benefit the Foundation’s local charities. Gatherings with friends and family around meals inspired Kaplan to create a simple, hand-bound recipe book called “Heartfelt Fare: A Collection of Favorite Recipes from our Home to Yours.” The books will be donated in local stores and at events in exchange for a contribution to the Foundation. All funds raised will provide grants back to the community by helping four local non-profit organizations that focus on families, pets and housing.
