Callanwolde Band to Salute Armed Forces
Band will play two shows dedicated to our armed forces

The Callanwolde Concert Band will play with concerts this month in honor of our armed forces.
The band — directed by Raymond Handfield — will play at Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 East Ponce de Leon Ave., this Sunday, June 3 at 2 p.m.
Handfield will be joined by Assistant Conductor Scott Files and Principal Guest Conductor Col. William Baldwin.

Baldwin, 93, is a retired U.S. Army Colonel and a former conductor of U.S. Army Bands.
The band will play West Point Symphony by Morton Gould, Esprit de Corps by Robert Jager and Victory at Sea by Richard Rodgers, among other numbers.

The Concert Band, known as one of DeKalb County’s premiere symphonic wind ensembles, is in its 40th season.
Admission to the concerts is free and donations are accepted.
The band will perform again with the special guests on Sunday, June 10, at 2 p.m. at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, 63 Georgia 9, Alpharetta.
