
junior Christina Cross was one of 25 students nationwide chosen as a 2011 Institute for International Public Policy Fellow.
The fellowship, which is valued at roughly $75,000, includes participation in summer institutes, a study abroad program, an internship, language study and graduate school.
Cross will begin with the Sophomore Summer Policy Institute, a seven-week program at Howard University in Washington, D.C.. The fellowship must be completed within six years.

Cross, a Milwaukee, Wis. native, is a Latin American and Caribbean studies major in the Emory College of Arts and Sciences. She is the first Emory student to be selected for the fellowship.
