Emory to Host Largest Collegiate Display of AIDS Memorial Quilt

1,432 panels of the quilt to be featured on Dec. 1

will host the world's largest collegiate display of the AIDS Memorial Quilt next month.

On Thursday, Dec. 1, World AIDS Day, 1,432 panels that tell the story of almost 3,000 lives affected by AIDS/HIV will be on display at Druid Hills campus on the university.

Most of the panels will be on display for the Quilt on the Quad event organized by the Emory Hillel, but 25 additional panels will be on display around campus.

Twelve of the panels around campus will include QR code integration so smartphone users can link to online “Quilt Stories” with audio voiceovers.

The seventh annual "Quilt on the Quad" will take place on McDonough Field in the heart of the Emory campus from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit the Emory University website.
