Al-Jazeera Washington Bureau Chief Abderrahim Foukara will deliver a public lecture titled “The Arab Spring: Between the Freedom of the Future and the Shackles of the Past.” The lecture will be presented by The Halle Institute for Global Learning and the Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies.
Foukara is Al-Jazeera's Washington bureau chief and host of “Min Washington” (“From Washington”), a weekly roundtable show on American political and cultural affairs. He first joined Al-Jazeera in 2002 as a Washington-based reporter before becoming head of its United Nations office.
