Anansi is a spider and a well-known trickster figure in stories throughout Africa. Children will discover what happens when Anansi ignores the special gifts given to him by the three spirits in the story Anansi and the Magic Yams. After the story, children will look at works of art related to African nature spirits and cook a special yam treat.
