The Georgia Center for the Booka and the Jimmy Carter Library are co-sponsoring a special appearance by Civil Rights legend, Atlanta’s own The Rev. Dr. Joseph Lowery. His new book is ”Singing the Lord’s Song in a Strange Land" collects some of his most enduring speeches and messages from the last 50 years including the eulogy at Coretta Scott King’s funeral and the inauguration of President Obama. He will be interviewed on stage by Michael Julian Bond. There will be copies of his book for sale and signing at this event.
