Emory University’s Halle Institute for Global Learning is launching a new China Speaker Series, which will explore China’s political history in the midst of its extraordinary rise as a world power in the 21st century.
Award-winning journalist John Pomfret will discuss China’s relationship with the United States in his lecture, "The History of the Most Important Relationship in the World in 90 Minutes or Less: The United States and China."
Pomfret is the Asia diplomatic correspondent for The Washington Post and has been a foreign correspondent for 15 years, covering wars large and small in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Congo, Sri Lanka, Iraq, southwestern Turkey and northeastern Iran.
