On Sunday, October 2, Atkins Park Tavern in Virginia-Highland will host a cornhole tournament from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the back parking lot of the restaurant to benefit the Georgia Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training. The event will also feature live music from Homefront and cold beer from Sweetwater Brewery. Registration fees are $25 per person for a single entry or $50 for a team of two with 100 percent of the registration fees being donated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Participants will receive one complimentary Sweetwater beer with registration. The first place winner will receive $400 in cash. Other prizes include a Krups Kegerator, restaurant and bar gift certificates, a Sweetwater cornhole set and Sweetwater Brewery tour passes.
