Fernbank Special Exhibition: De Soto’s Footsteps - New Archaeological Evidence from Georgia
Through archaeological expedition and the investigation of rare artifacts, Fernbank's lead archaeologist, Dennis Blanton, makes new conclusions about explorer Hernando de Soto's route through Georgia.
The objects discovered during this exhibition that challenges previous historical assumptions, are now displayed at Fernbank and have never before been on public display. They include Native American pottery,pipes and stone tools, and Spanish glass beads and objects made from iron, brass, and silver.

On Sunday, December 26, stay late, when the Museum and exhibitions will be open until 7 p.m. - hot chocolate and cookies will also be available for purchase.
