Madeleine Albright at Carter Library

Madeleine Albright, long a respected international diplomat, became in the Clinton administration the first woman to be appointed U.S. Secretary of State.  She also served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and is the author of several acclaimed books, among them ”Madam Secretary: A Memoir,” ”The Mighty and the Almighty: Reflections on America, God and World Affairs,” and ”Read My Pins: Stories from a Diplomat’s Jewel Box.”  Copies of her books available for sale.
