Gul Ozyegin is Associate Professor of Sociology and Women’s Studies at the College of William and Mary, and a former fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in Social Science and Humanities. She is the author of 'Untidy Gender: Domestic Service in Turkey' (Temple University Press, 2001) and finishing a book for NYU Press, 'New Selves in a Changing Muslim Nation'. Her current research project 'Belonging and Identity: A Home Divided?' investigates diversity in generational experiences of Turks in Berlin in relation to cultural and religious identities, integration/assimilation and citizenship.
