
World-renowned environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will deliver a public lecture at Emory University’s School of Nursing as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the Lillian Carter Center for Global Health & Social Responsibility.

In his lecture, “Our Environmental Destiny,” Kennedy will discuss the role natural resources play in our work, health and identity as Americans. Kennedy was named one of Time magazine's “Heroes of the Planet” and Rolling Stone's “100 Agents of Change” for his success in helping Riverkeepers lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. The group's achievements helped spawn more than 160 Waterkeeper organizations across the globe.

Among his published books are the New York Times bestseller Crimes Against Nature, The Riverkeepers, and Judge Frank M. Johnson Jr.: A Biography.
