Skype with Archaeologist Dr. Peter Lacovara Live from Egypt

This event, geared for children 8-12 years old, will take place in the Tate Room of the Michael C. Carlos Museum.  

Pre-registration is required.

Archaeologist and Carlos Museum Curator, Dr. Peter Lacovara, will broadcast live from Abydos in Egypt.  He is currently working on a dig in Abydos, a very important ancient Egyptian archaeological site. Dr. Lacovara will talk about excavations at Abydos and answer questions from interested children.

Children will also learn to use archaeological skills and techniques as they tour the Carlos Museum ancient Egyptian collection with museum docents.
