Wanted Women: Faith, Lies, and the War on Terror

Author Deborah Scroggins will deliver a public lecture on her new book, “Wanted Women: Faith, Lies, and the War on Terror,” as part of The Halle Institute’s Speaker Series.

“Wanted Women” tells the story of militant Islam, Muslim women’s rights and the war on terror through the lives of two women on opposite sides: critic of Islam Ayaan Hirsi Ali and religious extremist Aafia Siddiqui.

Scroggins was named Georgia Author of the Year in 2002 for her first book, “Emma’s War,” which won the Ridenhour Prize for Truth-telling.
