Pura Vida Throwback Thursday Pop Up at Sweet Auburn Barbecue

Sweet Auburn Barbecue is hosting a “throwback Thursday” pop up dinner featuring the beloved restaurant formerly housed at 656 North Highland Avenue, Pura Vida, on Thursday, June 25. Chef Hector Santiago and local beverage expert Paul Calvert, both of Pura Vida fame, will once again take over their bygone home, offering a menu of past favorites and libations to pair them with.

In the true spirit of #TBT, Santiago will offer a menu featuring once-cherished Pura Vida favorites. Santiago and Sweet Auburn BBQ executive chef Joey Stallings have collaborated to craft a menu of appetizers and shareable plates, fusing the Latin American flavors of Pura Vida and Santiago’s heritage with Sweet Auburn’s signature Asian-inspired barbecue.

On Thursday, June 25, Sweet Auburn’s regular service will end and the restaurant will close at 4 p.m. The restaurant will reopen at 6 p.m. as the Throwback Thursday Pura Vida Pop-Up and will continue late into the night.
